The Secced Reach Plus 5 Kit from Cinegears comprises of the SC-EFP/CF150D two-stage carbon fiber video tripod with ground spreader, SC-V25/150RP fluid video head, and SC-PB20 pan bar. This video tripod system is suitable for professionals in EFP, field-based HD production environments, stereoscopic shooting with a 3D rig, outside broadcast (OB), and for studio applications with teleprompter and/or studio lens configuration. The maximum payload of the Reach Plus 5 system is 84.6 lb at a CoG height of 4.9″. The two-stage carbon fiber tripod features a robust and sturdy structure with twin-tubed sections, and the legs can be adjusted to provide a height ranging from 23.2 to 63″ (with ground spreader). The tripod offers adequate torsion rigidity, which is essential for achieving smooth camera movements and determines how resistant the video tripod is to twisting mechanical influences during pan.
The SC-V25/150RP fluid head mounts on the tripod via a 150mm diameter integrated leveling ball. The head’s eight-grade (0 to 7 steps) drag system ensures ultra-smooth and extremely slow moves, diagonal or along an arc, using both axes and precision motion tracking. It provides a steady, shake-free shot even when a long lens is applied. The friction-free technology of the damping system is resistant to extreme temperature conditions. The head features a balance adjustment lever device designed to duplicate the available counterbalance steps. Camera balance and attachment to the head is done via a side load system (quick release plate and balance plate) that ensures easy adjustment of the camera. The balance plate’s sliding range is 4.7″, and the leveling bubble is self-illuminated.
