镜头控制系统常见问题解答

FAQ:

What’s the difference between Single Axis and Multi-Axis?

The Single Axis model only controls one of your lens functions (Focus, Iris, Zoom). Where as the Multi-Axis will control up to 6. That’s all three on two cameras at once, primed for stereoscopic 3D film making.

The Single Axis motor has a built-in wireless receiver inside the motor, making it easy to install. The Multi-Axis model has a powerful external digital wired/wireless receiver with an LED screen, all packaged together with a heavy duty design. The Multi Axis motor is also smaller and lighter than the Single Axis motor.

Why does the Multi Axis receiver have a wired connection feature?

The wired connection function of the receiver is designed for some particular working environments where a barrier or shield is present, such as the deep woods, rocky mountains, a battlefield, military bases, space ship or other places with poor wireless signals.

It is also designed for people who might not be familiar with the wireless installation and operation.

Does the motor make a lot of noise?

Not at all! At normal speeds it is very quiet. As with most high powered servo motors, you will get some noise the harder they work. When using presets you can set the speed at which the motor transitions and this will also help to reduce any noise you may hear.

Are all the motors the same , can I install the wheel on any side that I want ?

All motors are the same– you can install the wheel on any side you want by simply releasing and installing the gear wheel with any coin. The direction of the gear rotation can be reversed– check the set up menu for options.

Since it’s wireless what kind of range can I expect?

The system will work up to 100 meters

Does the motor not include an internal battery?  What is the power consumption (Watt) for the Multi Axis receiver? Also what are the voltage ranges that this unit can work within?

For Multi Axis, the motor does not have an internal battery; the receiver takes 12v-28v power, and there is a powertap cable to connect the wireless receiver with any V-Mount or production battery.  It can drive 6 motors and receive wireless signals up to a 100 meter range and it also supports a wired connection mode.

How does the wireless controller work?

The controller has an internal battery capable of lasting up to 20Hrs. It’s charged through USB, so you can plug it into and USB Power Block and even a computer. You are also able to charge it while it’s in use. It has an indicator light that will tell you when the battery is running low, shown with a red light on the controller.

What is the difference between a Single Axis  wireless controller and a Multi Axis wireless controller? Can I interchange them?

The Multi Axis controller has 2 more sliders for controlling zoom and iris. It has wired connection port(s) for wired mode and additional speed control(s) for  zoom and iris, it can also illuminate itself for the cameraman to use in dark environments. Yes, they are interchangeable. However, you will lose zoom and iris control when you use a Single Axis controller to control a Multi Axis receiver.

Can you provide support out side of North America?

In terms of world wide support, if anything happens to the unit within the warranty period, send us an e-mail, and we’ll send out a replacement unit right away. Shipping cost will be applied.
